Project : The Palace Hotel, Buxton.
Client : Britannia Hotels.
Timescale : May - June 2024.
Value : £23k
Summary :
The Palace Hotel in Buxton is a flagship hotel within the Britannia Hotels portfolio.
This imposing Victorian structure set within 5 acres of landscaped gardens was suffering from damage and erosion to the stone window surrounds, corbels and string courses.
In addition, tree root growth had caused the collapse of rubble stone walling within the grounds.
Refurbishment :
JDF RS Limited were employed to undertake the stonework repair works to the front and side elevations of the hotel using colour-matched stone repair mortars.
The collapsed rubble stone walls were excavated and re-built to match the existing wall features.
The project was delivered on time and within the original budget to the complete satisfaction of the client.
