Project : Manchester Central Convention Complex, Manchester

Client : Manchester Central

Timescale : August 2021

Value : £150k

Summary :

This iconic vaulted structure, dating back to 1880 and later rebranded as the Manchester GMEX had been requisitioned to provide a ‘Nightingale Hospital’ during the Covid 19 pandemic.

The walls, screens and equipment of the makeshift wards had been secured to the convention centre floor using metal fixings and these fixings required removal and subsequent repair.

The client required the work to be undertaken within an extremely tight timeframe to fit in with planned entertainment events.

Refurbishment :

JDF RS Limited drilled out the existing fixings and repaired the floor structure using Fosroc repair materials.

The project was finished ahead of time.
